Coordinate with cross-functional project teams across the organization to plan, coordinate and drive forward technology projects ranging from software development, integration, implementation, and process improvement
Manage multiple, various sized projects simultaneously
Adopt the most appropriate management structures for projects and ensure all key project stakeholders are informed and involved
Create and maintain project documentation, status reports, plans, schedules and timelines, facilitate meetings and workshops and communicate project milestone progress on a regular basis; ensure technical feasibility
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for project team members specific to the initiative and ensure resource availability and allocation
Perform risk management to minimize project risks, including identifying, documenting, evaluating, mitigating and managing, and appropriately communicating risks and issues
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure a flawless execution of projects
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Change management
Manage change in a complex and dynamic environment
Balance technology and business issues and communicate appropriately with both technology and business experts
Team member management
Lead and performance coach team members
Balance workload and identify resourcing requirements, including identifying when additional skills and capacity are needed in the team
Set individual team member goals and manage performance to continuously develop abilities, skills and knowledge
Requirements :
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in project management in a technology focused role
Proven track record of successful program/project delivery
Completion of additional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE II, CSM)
Proven ability to tailor the project deliverables to the needs of each project and business stakeholder group, adapting style, documentation, and communication, rather than applying a one size fits all approach
Demonstrated knowledge of various project management methodologies - Agile and Waterfall
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and influence across organizational boundaries
Experience in a management or supervisory role on a project management team
Experience with software implementation projects with a high degree of system integration would be considered an asset
Experience with technology and software development projects in a professional services organization would be considered an asset
