Lead end-to-end DC Process Optimization, DC Inventory Optimisation and densification projects
Lead end-to-end Distribution Center (DC) transformation engagements focused on evaluating current state, identifying improvement opportunities including automation, preparation of transformation business cases, overseeing design of future state including AutoCAD/Revit layouts and implementation of the chosen solution.
Lead implementation of DC related software package implementations such as WMS, YMS and TMS
Ability to use client data such as sales volume, SKU count, growth etc. to perform pre-slotting and cubing to determine future sizing of the distribution center
Ability to work with the draft person to create future state DC layouts in AutoCAD/Revit 3D including location of mobile and fixed MHE based on pre-slotting information
Assist clients in the identification of potential automation technology solutions, justified by the business case, which could help enable supply chain excellence (e.g. Dematic, Witron, Knapp, SSI-Schaeffer etc.)
Ability to work with the team to create required business cases to justify the proposed design to client executive steering committees
Ability to create transition plans to assist in the overall business transformation strategy
End-to-end fixed and mobile Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience including conventional racking, automation, mobile equipment etc.
Engage and work alongside client key stakeholders to gain input and buy-in to strategy development and to influence and execute the action plans
Act as the MHE expert during the RFP strategy phase of procurement of equipment
Project and change management in support of Supply Chain Transformations
Establish credibility with prospective clients by demonstrating expertise and knowledge of supply chain operations
Ensure the quality of deliverables meets with client expectations and manage engagement risk and project economics including planning, budgeting, billings and collection
Team with PwC colleagues both within the Connected Supply Chain team and across other lines of services within the Firm to address client needs
Extensive experience in Logistics & Distribution with a heavy focus on DC Design & Automation advisory & implementation while in a consulting role
Adept experience in the implementation of software packages such as WMS, YMS and TMS (optional)
In-depth understanding of supply chain processes and associated value drivers and frameworks
In-depth experience of analytical tools such as Alteryx and/or SAS
Design and interpretation experience using CAD tools such as AutoCAD/Revit 3D etc.
Engineering degree in a related discipline
Knowledge in business process improvement techniques, including Lean will be considered an asset
Exceptional people, project and change management skills
Working knowledge of project management tools such as MS-Project
Strong understanding of related disciplines, including supply chain strategy, demand/supply planning, order management, procurement/sourcing, and manufacturing would be an asset
The ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally will also be expected in this
The successful candidate requires, in addition to French, fluency in English as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
