Support actuarial product teams in a wide range of actuarial consulting services and transformation initiatives;
Work closely with our senior actuaries on our appointed actuarial services, including actuarial liability assessment and financial condition review, product development, M&A advisory services and standards insurance accountants (IFRS 17);
Support the team in the re-execution of technical provisions, analyze and review valuation methods and assumptions;
Analyze client information to determine if technical provisions are presented fairly in the financial statements;
Collaborate with actuaries and other actuarial students on a variety of projects, including cross-functional projects with other PwC departments;
Support relationship building with our clients;
Communicate findings and recommendations to non-actuarial teams in a clear, non-technical manner;
Support junior staff.
Progressive experience in the P&C insurance industry, including policy liability assessment, financial condition testing, IFRS 17, pricing or predictive modeling;
Actively pursuing or recently obtaining the title of Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA);
Exceptional commitment to providing excellent customer service by building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external clients;
Strong analytical, problem solving and multitasking/project management skills;
Mastery of provisioning and statistics tools and applications such as Arius, R or @Risk;
Proven ability to work with data analysis tools (Tableau, Alteryx, VBA) an asset;
Mindset focused on continuous improvement, challenging the status quo and seeking improvement;
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including presentation experience in a business context;
Experience in a consulting or advisory role (or ability to work in a consulting or auditing environment and work on projects) an asset;
Demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working with different people with diverse viewpoints.
