Outbound engagement with potential customers to create interest in products and services, generating new business leads and converting into new business
Listening to and understanding customers' specific business needs, and applying product knowledge to create and deliver quotes, proposals and solutions to meet their requirements
Responding to tenders, creating proposals, coordinating and directing bids
Working closely with technical pre-sales colleagues, ensuring the design is good quality and has followed internal sign-off processes
Ensuring quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical and functional benefits of our Service Catalogue
Preparing and delivering presentations and demonstrations of solutions to customers
Promoting a portfolio of products and services by writing and designing sales literature / product data sheets and attending industry events
Maintaining awareness and keeping abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and solutions, especially around Microsoft technologies such as M365 and Azure
Developing an effective sales plan / strategy using established sales methodology
Network with existing customers to promote additional products and upgrades
Input to educational marketing content (blogs, vlogs, thought leadership papers etc.), supported by our Leadership Team and Marketing function (1-2 per month)
Participating in our regular events schedule, such as Roundtables, Webinars, Conferences etc. (5 or 6 per year)
Assist in the creation and upkeep of marketing materials and collateral
Actively contribute to process and practice improvement, reflecting on what works and suggesting improvements to continually increase quality of delivery and refine our sales process.
Requirements :
A track record and passion for business development, sales and generating new business in an IT environment
Excellent networking skills, including building trusting relationships with potential customers, partners and suppliers to generate and convert sales opportunities
Experience of running pitches and presentations, as part of a multi-disciplinary bid team
Sector experience advantageous
