Deliver complex projects and studies through planning, design, and construction phases.
Provide technical expertise on the design of pipes, pump stations, flow control facilities, large-diameter pipeline replacement, and other pipeline-related projects.
Lead cross-functional project teams (internal and external staff) and collaborate with stakeholders for the development and sealing/stamping of project deliverables, including engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
Apply project management skills during initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing of projects, including development of project management plans, business case evaluations, project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical reports.
Support construction with timely responses to submittals, request for information (RFI), and change order documents.
Communicate Tacoma Water’s interests with internal and external stakeholders, including on projects led by other municipalities, agencies, or entities.
Prepare project documents and conduct presentations to the public, Utility Board, or City Council.
Develop procurement documents for selecting and awarding professional services.
Direct and review the deliverables of consultants, including engineering drawings, technical specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff.
Requirements :
Minimum Education*
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or directly related field.
Minimum Experience*
4 years of professional level engineering experience
