The Talent Acquisition Specialist Trainee is responsible for assisting multiple departments fill approved vacancies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, writing/editing position advertisements, placing recruitment advertising, reviewing submitted application materials, assisting applicants with the overall application process, submitting eligible lists to departments, reviewing background checks, reporting background check results to departments, conducting employment and education verifications for new and promoted employees, attending various job/career fairs, participating in various outreach initiatives, conducting training, consulting with employees about resume creation and City career advancement opportunities, managing various social media platforms and other related functions. The training process is intense and requires access to a substantial amount of confidential information as well as an extremely high level of attention to detail. A successful candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced, high volume along with attention to detail.
