Leads a crew of journey-level carpenters and other semi-skilled personnel. Prepares cost estimates and laying out jobs. Completes work orders as needed. Orders supplies and materials required for jobs. Assigns and inspects progress, cleanliness and completion of jobs and projects of the shop.
Responsible for operation, proper adjustment, and general maintenance of all power equipment and tools in the Carpenter Shop. Responsible for the safe operation of equipment and for enforcing general safety regulations in the shop and at the job site.
Works from blueprints, sketches, and work orders on various types of construction.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a high school diploma and two years of experience as a journey-level carpenter that included work coordination responsibilities required.
