Provide daily technical support for users in offices within Enrollment Management & Services.
Work closely with functional counterparts to quickly identify and resolve production problems.
Provide primary technical support on Campus logic Student Forms, Microsoft Office Forms, Ocelot Chatbot/Live Chat, Cascade content management, and other systems in use by the department both now and into the future.
Support and automate where feasible various processes in use by the department. These may include (but are not limited to): Federal ISIR, Cal ISIR, Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) files, Department of Education tasks, enrollment processing, admissions processing, and related processes.
Explore root causes and propose solutions to eliminate future problems.
Manage scheduled processes and jobs in PeopleSoft.
Provide backup technical support for other Campus Solutions modules in partnership with other programmers to ensure continuous and accurate processing of these mission critical business functions.
General Programming
Perform analysis detailed program specification, programming testing and documentation to expand the functional scope of the student systems, in order to meet the business needs of the university.
Design and implement procedures, software programs, utilities, and documentation to support customer-focused delivery of business data.
Types of projects may include (but not limited to): Bolt-on enhancements to existing functionality, self-service facing page enhancements, data interfaces.
Technologies utilized may include (but not limited to): PeopleCode, SQR, PS Query, Integration Broker, AWE.
Ensure compliance with all standards of data integrity, security, and privacy.
Report/Data Programmer
Create ad hoc queries and generate statistical reports.
Utilize data warehouse and other reporting tools to assist in data analysis.
Develop reports of a highly complex nature to support the operational needs of our business units and partner offices on campus.
Technologies utilized may include (but not limited to): SQR, SQL, PS Query, Bl/XML Publisher.
Requirement Analysis
Collaborate with EM&S offices, Division of IT, and partner offices on system related enhancements and workflows.
Assist project teams with gathering functional requirements, design, implementation, training, and ongoing support.
Participate actively in the review and definition of business problems, including the preparation of functional and technical requirements to support the mission of the university and administrative departments.
Provide systems analysis leadership for the appropriate user offices.
Documentation & Testing
Perform administrative aspects of development, testing, and documentation in accordance with campus and CMS Central policies.
Provides functional analysis of system upgrades, fixes, maintenance packs, and CSU Baseline feature enhancements to evaluate the impact to EM&S processes and systems.
Support all activities related to Bundle/PUM/fix testing
Coordinates and communicates with Division of IT on the functional system issues.
Develops functional test plans and issues-tracking reports.
Help coordinate testing activities between EM&S and Division of IT as well as partner offices such as Student Success and the Bronco Advising Center where applicable.
Requirements :
A bachelors level degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field with relevant experience totaling two years full-time or the equivalent part-time. -OR- Eight years of relevant full-time experience. (Associate Degree does not substitute for experience in this classification.)
Two year of related experience required with an bachelors level degree.
