Installs, configures and modifies system components required for Mainframe, Midrange or Windows Operating Systems. Utilize and configures vendor and 3rd party tools to support District's Infrastructure. Programming and scripting in appropriate language for the different systems interfaces. Second and third level support for District's Enterprise Infrastructure environment. Modifies, tests and implements changes to District's Infrastructure to improve performance and to accommodate changes. Coordinates with District's I/T personnel on modifications, installation and enhancements to current and future applications. Collaboration with applications programmers, computer operators and customer department staff in support of the Mainframe, Mid-range and Window Systems. Evaluates, tests and recommends hardware and software to meet ongoing District's computing requirements. Maintains records and written documentation of systems installations, modifications, and security. Maintains current knowledge of technology, monitors system performance. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers. Assist in creation of Solutions Designs and Solutions Architecture for new applications.
