The Department of Education seeks an energetic scholar-practitioner who can teach credential courses, supervise teacher candidates in the field, advise credential, MA, and EdD candidates, and serve the department, college, university, community, and profession, along with maintaining a scholarly agenda. Applicants are expected to have experience in the academic preparation of ethnically, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse students as well as understand culturally responsive instruction of students with disabilities.

• Doctoral degree in Education with a terminal degree at time of appointment.
• Evidence of full-time teaching experience, or equivalent, as a teacher of record.
• Experience working with multi-lingual communities.
• Commitment to providing equity and access to all learners.
• Evidence of emerging professional and scholarly agenda that aligns with the Department's and College's commitment to equity, inclusion, and/or social justice.
• Evidence of knowledge and application of state standards and/or alternative standards in teaching, learning, and assessment of students.
• A record of contributions and a commitment to student success through the applicant's teaching, scholarship, or service. This will be described in the Student Success Statement, which must address at least two of the inclusive excellence criteria listed above.
