Systems programming/network administration assignments concern the developing, testing, implementing and maintaining mainframe, mid-range, micro, client server software and hardware infrastructure and/or the connectivity capability between different platforms that manage information technology resources and support the execution of automated applications.
Customer Support assignments concern all activities associated with the support of end-users of electronic data processing systems. This includes such desktop support activities as installing new and replacement computers and peripherals, resolving a variety of user problems and providing specialized training to help users become more productive with their information technology systems.
Applications development assignments concern designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining mainframe, mid-range, micro, client server business, and process control applications by completing applications development life cycle activities.
Requirements :
An Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, business information systems, business administration or a closely related field.
OR
Professional certification in one or more fields of information technology.
Positions designated for the Systems Programmer, Programmer or Application Developer assignments must have completed at least twelve (12) college-level semester units in programming languages.
