Builds, remodels, and maintains various types of facilities, buildings, offices, classrooms, restrooms, sheds, fences and other structures
Installs, builds and repairs internal and external structures
Installs and repairs drywall, ceiling and floor tiles, flooring systems, and roofs
Makes, installs, and repairs cabinets, counters, signage, shelves, benches, partitions, floors, and door and window frames
Hangs doors and installs window frames
Erecting scaffolding, forms, frames, molds, and/or use electronic lifts or personnel ladders in the performance of duties
Installs and repairing modular furniture
Fabricates, constructs, installs and repairs sheet metal for architectural, non-structural and structural metal work
Requirements :
Four years of increasingly responsible experience leading to journey-level skills in facility repair and maintenance, or any reasonable equivalent combination of training and experience as a facilities maintenance mechanic which demonstrates the achievement of journey-level skills equivalent to that acquired through completion of an applicable apprenticeship program
Requires the possession of a valid California Driver's License for the operation of any vehicle or equipment required for position and in any emergency situation. Must participate in all OSHA required physicals and examinations
