Ensures that code requirements, safety regulations and safe work practices are followed.
Plans, assigns, supervises and inspects the work of electricians, other skilled craft workers, apprentices and helpers in the installation, alteration and repair of electrical wiring systems and equipment.
Maintains work records.
Orders and maintains stock of materials and supplies.
Performs the work of an Electrician.
Lays out jobs and estimates labor and material requirements.
Determines work methods and types of materials to be used.
Makes rough sketches of jobs showing gauges, measurements and materials to be used.
Coordinates work activities with other craft and operating units.
Makes periodic inspections of existing electrical wiring systems and equipment.
Supervises the maintenance of tools and equipment.
Drives automotive equipment to and from work sites which may include combination truck units with trailers of 6,000 pounds gross vehicle weight or over.
Requirements :
Two (2) years of Journey-level experience in the installation, alteration and repair of commercial and industrial electrical wiring systems and equipment.
