Performs daily content production and manages calendar; reviews and manages content for accuracy, editorial correctness, and cohesive voice with other customer collaterals
Reviews requests and projects for feasibility, tone, and accuracy
Meets with marketing, design, and other Metro departments to develop a Scope of Work (SOW), scheduling, and deliverables
Analyzes feedback and analytics to develop new features; reviews and tests new features and tools for quality assurance; works to troubleshoot, document, and fix technical bugs and errors
Coordinates with other cross-functional teams to ensure overall function of site-wide features and design are in compliance with Metro standards
Monitors metrics and develops periodic reports to document accomplishments and traffic/usage
Assists Information Technology (IT) with web network access issues as needed, e.g., program and server access privileges
Regulates and manages access rights of different users, and oversees security and administration of Metro social media accounts or websites
Supervises staff and contract employees on the completion of updates and projects
Provides guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees
Contributes to ensuring that the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and programs of Metro are carried out For Social Media Assignments
Acts as producer and project manager for Metro social media accounts
Oversees daily account management across all Metro social channels
Monitors Metro and transportation related conversations on social media
Plans and monitors social media and digital ad campaigns
Manages and updates social media best practices and works to actively educate and train Metro staff For Web Communications Assignments
Performs and oversees daily web content production and technical functions of Metro digital platforms, including websites, mobile and tablet applications, and large-format interactives
Works with Marketing to create new content and schedule content as needed for internal and external websites; copyedit where needed
Updates Metro′s website′s custom Content Management Systems (CMS)
Creates guidelines and standards for web production
Tests and develops web pages for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance (section 508 guidelines) using screen reading software
Manages third-party services available on website, e.g., e-mail subscription system, website search, blogs, social media platforms, forms, and other third-party tools
Contributes to ensuring that the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and programs of Metro are carried out
Requirements :
Education
Bachelor′s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Visual Communications, Design, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience
Five years of relevant experience in digital marketing or in website administration and production; some positions in this class may require specialized experience in area of assignment
Certifications/Licenses/Special Requirements
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
