Initiate, plan, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of the facility, including windows, window frames, partitions, doors, door frames, roofs, steps, furniture, etc.
Assist with facility’s physical key and core lock management system.
Performs work on the facility’s card access systems, motorized gates, etc.
In consultation with the Building Operations Supervisor and trade peers, complete preventative maintenance schedules for assigned equipment in Minneapolis City Hall/Hennepin County Courthouse.
Complete work with trades and others on joint projects.
Review work in progress and assure quality and adherence to expected standards and policies.
Work from sketches, blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
Screen new work requests, confirm work details, and determine appropriate action for work.
Assist with developing appropriate work plans by analyzing tasks, determining resources required, estimate cost of direct labor, materials, tools, equipment, and contract services.
Request and order supplies and materials for planned work and PM’s.
Maintain and adjust a regular inventory of supplies, materials and equipment used.
Ensures all work?related materials and labor are entered into the work management system Micromain Global
Requirements :
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience
Successful completion of a 7,000?hour apprenticeship program approved by the State Division of Apprenticeship Training or a comparable apprenticeship program.
At least five years’ experience as a Journeyman Level Carpenter.
OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
