manage and direct staff in the advertising/digital brand creation program, monitor results, establish the marketing department’s fiscal objectives, manage contracts, participate in advertising/digital-focused industry groups and forums on the local and national level, manage the NCOT Marketing Committee which advises on creative direction and media expenditure, work with the Publishing Editor of Nevada Magazine and Visitor Guide to ensure brand and content direction are aligned, direct staff to ensure all marketing materials are brand compliant, oversee the securing of licensing for creative materials produced in-house and used in production, work closely with the research manager to analyze the effectiveness of advertising campaigns for future initiatives, work in collaboration with the media buying agency to develop comprehensive media, present strategies at the Nevada Commission on Tourism and Marketing Committee meetings, assist in the development of creative pieces, ensure brand and message consistency, assist with the creative development, execution, and maintenance of the website, establish a search engine optimization strategy (SEO) including keyword development, content, meta data, and linking strategy, and analyze site traffic by utilizing Google Analytics to determine future initiatives.
College Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in marketing, advertising or a related field, or 10 years of related experience. Should have knowledge of the tourism industry and have experience working with multiple sectors within the industry. Specific familiarity with Nevada’s tourism environment is a plus.
