Utilizing nursing processes to establish priorities and to refer patients to the proper level of care.
Making appointments, providing home care advice, or referring out to other services.
Informing doctors of issues needing attention that are outside the scope of advice nurse protocols.
Updating computer entries to reflect current patient registration data.
Requirements :
License Required: Possession of a Valid License as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or its equivalent experience as a telephone triage Registered Nurse; Or a Registered Nurse in one of the following areas of an acute care hospital: medical surgical unit, labor and delivery unit, post partum unit, pediatric unit, intensive or critical care unit, emergency department; Or a Registered Nurse in a surgery center or urgent care facility; Or a Registered Nurse in a maternal child health, home health, public health setting, or in nursing case management.
