Description : â— Provide general administrative support; such as answering phones, greeting customers, providing customer service to vendors and customers, and respond to purchasing inquiries.
â— Retrieves uniforms and equipment, and issues as necessary. Inspects inventory being dispersed and retrieved and ensures inventory records are updated. Accurately maintains database of high value equipment for reporting to County Risk Management and performs audits biannually.
â— Researches new product specifications in the law enforcement field for compatibility with current equipment while generating a cost analysis versus value received, makes recommendations to reduce expenses while maintaining or improving quality. Monitorsand maintains current uniform and equipment inventory and makes recommendation for additional purchases or depleting inventory.
â— Create, process, and reconcile purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and requisitions. Track vendor performance and payments. Researches and resolves discrepancies between purchase orders, receipts, and inventories using defined processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. ensures purchases are in compliance with Sheriff's Office and County purchasing policies and procedures before submission.
Requirements : â— High school diploma or equivalent and two years in procurement or administrative functions involving record keeping or related area are required. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
