The incumbent is responsible for auditing documents for accuracy, correctness of the transactions, and legality within specific provisions of law to allow payment from various appropriations. The incumbent is responsible for auditing, handling, and processing the moderately complex claim schedules for submission to the State Controller's Office. The incumbent is also responsible for determining funds are available as encumbered and all documents are properly coded and charged to appropriate cost codes in accordance with the Department cost of accounting program. The incumbent will provide technical expertise to accounting technical staff and program staff in the disbursement requirements.
