Prepares technical engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for public works projects such as the construction of streets, storm drains, sewers, traffic signals, street lighting, and water systems.
Performs design calculations involving distances, ties, angles, areas, traverses and closures, and hydraulics.
Performs electrical calculations for signals and street lighting.
Prepares detailed quantity and cost estimates for various public works projects.Assists in the processing contract submittals and coordinates the preparation, review, and approval of project proposals for consultant and contractor selection.Prepares conditions for approval for proposed developments; checks parcel maps, tracts maps and subdivision agreements for compliance with codes and regulations.Performs construction inspection for engineering and capital improvement projects.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Three (3) years of experience performing professional engineering duties.
A valid State of California driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
A valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by the State of California.
