Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (NNAMHS) is recruiting for an Accountant II in Sparks, NV. The Accountant II position is an accounting manager role that supervises four positions and oversees the smooth operation of the accounting unit; ensuring that year end close occurs in a seamless manner. This entails ensuring transactions are processed timely and correctly throughout the year with accurate coding; attention to detail is critical. The incumbent is also responsible for the Medicare Cost report for NNAMHS; Federal financial reporting for several grants; and assists with accounting inquiries, grant inquiries, and internal control inquiries. The incumbent is essential in making recommendations regarding internal controls and helps to ensure that fiscal policies and procedures are followed.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting and one year of experience performing professional accounting work; OR a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related field which included 18 credits in accounting and two years of experience performing professional accounting work; OR one year of experience as an Accountant I in Nevada State service and 18 college credits in accounting.
