• Operate, service, and make minor adjustments and repairs on various kinds of automotive equipment, including passenger vehicles and trucks.
• Has the physical ability to climb and work off ladders, lift and carry a minimum of seventy (70) pounds, work unassisted if necessary and work standing throughout a workday.
• Pick-up and delivery of numerous materials (drugs, office products, etc.) from storeroom to various areas inside and outside the facility.
• Dispatch pool vehicles and equipment, for use by authorized employees on State Business.
• Keep maintenance logs for vehicles and equipment on file and current.
• Understands and knows the location of Safety Data Sheets and protective gear for any hazardous material you may be required to use.
• Read, understand, and conform to all Hospital Administrative Directives. Maintain daily tool control procedures and instructs all concerned in proper tool control.
Possession of a driver license valid for the operation of any two- axle vehicle, except a bus designed to carry more than 15 passengers, and such vehicle towing another vehicle weighing less than 6,000 pounds gross. Applicant who do not possess this license will be admitted to the examination but must secure the license prior to appointment and Experience: At least six months of experience in operating motor trucks.
