Oversees safety program development, training and safety issues; and responds to and resolves department concerns.
Plans and implements training for employees in worksite safety practices.
Conduct Job Hazard Analysis for labor intensive and safety sensitive positions to identify hazards and risk mitigation strategies.
Implement the City's Safety Manual in a consistent approach.
Oversee compliance of FMCSA's Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations as the baseline for training requirements for entry-level drivers.
Create and oversee Emergency Evacuation Plans and Shelter in Place Plans for the variety of risk and concerns that may occur at City facilities.
Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations.
Enhance the City's Hazard Communication and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Safety management, occupational health and safety, environmental safety, engineering, or a closely related field
Three years of safety experience and / or training.
