• Read Blueprints, compile accurate material lists, and prepare layout for assigned jobs.
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve piping related emergencies.
• Cut, solder, weld, thread, braze, glue, and test pipes utilizing best practices for the material used.
• Fabricate flanges, tees, elbows, and bends, etc. for piping.
• Perform piping alterations, maintenance, and repair work that meets applicable codes and design.
• Test and maintain backflow prevention devices to current standards.
• Install tanks, compressors, gas burners, pumps, and other piping appurtenances.
• Keep accurate records of work hours, descriptions of work performed, and materials used in a CMMS system.
• Perform inspections and report findings when assigned.
• Oversee Plumber Apprentices when assigned.
• Attend assigned training activities.
• Utilize all City resources in compliance with City policies.
• Follow all City safety related procedures and protocols.
