Description :
Manage Accounts payable activities, including processing/approving invoices for payments, create requisitions and process change orders to encumber fund for contracts
Provide high-quality customer service by responding timely to inquiries from a variety of internal and external Sub-recipients and vendors
Communicate with program, Finance, and compliance staff and occasionally with vendors regarding any issue in Invoice payment processes
Supervise a team of professional Accounts Payable staff, with expertise in contract compliance, accounting and finance
Create process improvement initiatives as it relates to payment processing or vendor trainings, specifically around Salesforce tracking system and compliance databases
Assign and distributes work, review work for accuracy and completeness, and return assignments with recommendations for proper completion.
Provide leadership and direction with regard to fiscal administrative operations and functions in order to achieve goals and objectives, develop and implement short-term and long-range planning initiatives, and direct operational policies and performance metrics.
Develop and implement operational policies in accordance with departmental, state, and/or federal mandates and/or legislation and ensure policies are regularly evaluated in accordance with legislation, governmental requirements, and standards
Develops goal, document performance, provide performance feedback and formally evaluates the work of the employee; provide reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance. Assist staff to achieve performance standards and identifies opportunities for continual improvement to performance standards.
Provides work instruction and assists employees with difficult and/or unusual assignments
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements :
Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience: Five (5) years of supervisory experience within a fiscal operational area.
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
