The successful candidates will teach specialty courses in the Educational Counseling Program's School Counseling and/or Student Affairs concentrations and core program courses for all students. Additional duties include supervision of practicum and fieldwork placement (K-12) supervision; student advising; committee work; maintaining a program of scholarship; and service to the community and profession. Some additional duties may include program coordinator/directorship and teaching in the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Program.
• Doctorate in Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field (ABD candidates may apply; if ABD, doctorate must be conferred on an official transcript by August 1, 2023).
• Professional experience as a K-12 School Counselor in the public schools (two years minimum). Demonstrated ability to teach master's-level School Counseling courses.
• Evidence of, or promise for, supervision of master's students.
• Evidence of, or promise for, scholarship (e.g., conference presentations, scholarly publications, grant writing).
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching undergraduates and/or post-baccalaureate students from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds, including first-generation students.
