Preparing and reviewing journal vouchers, transfer of funds, and other financial documents
Collaborating with Program Managers to develop and monitor the annual budget
Responsible for reporting in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner for various internal and external reports
Preparing the annual budget and year-end close
Reviewing and tracking provider risk assessments and audited financial statements
Preparing various stakeholder and State reports and schedules
Preparing cost reconciliation schedules
Reviewing and analyzing financial transactions and balances for accuracy
Requirements :
Education: 1) Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, finance, accounting or a closely related field, which must have included at least 12 semester or 18 quarter units from among the following accounting courses: Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Governmental Accounting, Fund Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Auditing; or 2) Possession of an Certified Public Accountant Certificate.
Internal Substitution for Education: Incumbency in the class of Accountant II for Contra Costa County may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
Experience: Thirty (30) months of full-time, or its equivalent, increasingly responsible professional accounting experience.
