The successful candidates will be expected to: be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring students of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds; maintain an active, externally-funded research program involving undergraduate and master's students; and devote a portion of his/her time to engaging in departmental, college and university service. Of particular interest to us are candidates whose research complements the department's existing biochemistry, chemistry, and chemistry education research programs and/or will further expand research opportunities at the interface of chemistry and biology. Interdisciplinary collaborations within the department and college are strongly encouraged.
