Portland Parks and Recreation performs electrical maintenance and repairs on parks, golf courses, ballfields lightning, community centers, swimming pools, tourist attractions and visitor centers such as Pittock Mansion and Pioneer Courthouse Square, as well as other park bureau facilities throughout the city. The type of electrical work would include a wide range of commercial and industrial electrical applications. This position will include work involving and motor, HVAC, and lighting controls as well fire and alarm maintenance and installation.
This is Journeyman Electrician position. This position operates a variety of tools and equipment including aerial and crane trucks. Planning and organizing assigned tasks and jobs including coordinating work with other crafts when needed.

1. Knowledge of and experience interpreting and applying the National Electrical Code (NEC).
2. Experience performing electrical repair, modification and installation including wiring motors, various types of lighting control, controllers and troubleshooting for voltages from 24VDC up to 480 VAC. (Experience from 480VAC up to 5KV is not required but should be noted in your resume/supplemental question answer)
3. Experience working collaboratively and effectively with coworkers in a diverse organization.
4. Ability to learn and use safe work practices, maintain daily activity reports, perform layout, and sketch design for electrical installations, and repairs.
