• Assigns, supervises and inspects the work of carpenters, apprentices and helpers in new construction, alteration, repair and County-Wide event set-up.
• Plans carpentry projects and coordinates activities with other crafts and operating units.
• Lays out jobs and estimates labor and material requirements.
• Determines work methods and types of materials to be used.
• Orders and maintains a stock of materials and supplies.
• Ensures that code requirements and safety regulations and safe work practices are observed.
• Supervises the maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Creates and maintains work records and reports manually and by utilizing a personal computer and associated software and applications.
• Performs the work of a journeyman carpenter.
• Drives automotive equipment to work sites.

Two years' of verifiable journey-level* Carpenter experience in all phases of carpentry work** which includes interior and exterior finish work; foundation form and framing work. Qualifying experience must be in commercial or residential carpentry
