Description : â— Provides exceptional customer service to all Recycling Center customers.
â— Verifies customer yard waste permits and Household Clean-Up Vouchers.
â— Responsible for accurate processing of cash, check, and card transactions.
â— Assists with balancing the register and keeping records throughout each shift.
â— Reconciles daily revenues each shift change and every evening at closing.
â— Responsible for reporting and helping to reconcile register discrepancies.
â— Uses tape measure and calculator to determine volume of incoming loads.
â— Inspects incoming loads for unapproved materials and redirects customers as needed.
â— Accurately records daily vehicle counts.
â— Monitors and communicates with vendors at the site, writes-up bills of lading, and records incoming and outgoing loads.
â— Provides customers with information about the facility, recycling practices and policies, as well as alternative diversion methods and locations.
â— Monitors site for safety including unsafe customer behavior and responds or reports as necessary.
â— Routinely uses sound judgement to resolve complex situations.
â— Assists in the maintenance of the Recycling Center by removing contaminants from containers and other drop-off points.
â— Ensures that facility grounds are kept clean, orderly, and free of litter.
â— Monitors and performs basic troubleshooting on stationary cardboard compactors.
â— Assists visitors who require assistance with unloading materials.
Requirements : â— One (1) year of experience in cash handling, cash register operations & customer relations in a fast-paced environment is required.
