Perform data imports from other agencies, manage exports, joins and relates to provide a complete GIS solution to end users and map editors.
Develop and maintain automated Python scripts and processes to ensure data quality for Tacoma Water's systems of record (SAP and GIS).
Extract, compare, and analyze SAP and GIS data to keep critical business data in alignment.
Interface with SAP Functional Leads to ensure the accurate flow of data between systems.
Create new Data Reviewer Checks utilizing SQL queries and design new SQL queries using SQL Management Studio to keep Tacoma Water's GIS and SAP systems in synch.
Build prototype solutions to demonstrate the benefits of new software tools, database queries, views, procedures and digitalized work processes.
Test software and database upgrades, perform end-user training, and troubleshoot system issues to determine solutions, resolve, and follow up.
Determine appropriate GIS technology solutions to meet business requirements, including the goal of migrating to Esri Utility Network.
Create and maintain SAP Functional Locations, Equipment records, Classes and Characteristics as they relate to water utility network GIS features and feature classes.
Ensure that Tacoma Water's SAP Master data items are integrated with the GIS database, including integration data quality and web app integrations.
Requirements :
5+ years directly related information technology work experience; and
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Geography or related field (additional, relevant years of experience may substitute for a degree on a year-for-year basis)
