Relationship building, behavior support and customer service: including reference, reader's advisory and technology assistance, for tweens and teens from diverse backgrounds.
Coordination of the teen tech space including certifications and instruction of patrons and staff.
Monthly program planning, marketing and facilitation including the annual summer learning programs.
Establishment and maintenance of outreach partnerships with local schools, businesses and non-profits.
Collection development including selection, purchasing, maintenance and weeding of the teen collection.
Maintenance of the overall organization, appearance and cleanliness of the division including but not limited to shelving materials, shelf reading, placing books on display, shifting within stacks.
Liaison with Food Bank for Larimer County to provide daily snacks to teens.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or Master's Degree in related field such as Public Administration, Education, or Social Work preferred. An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.
1 year of progressively responsible library or related field experience working with youth required. This is in addition to any years used to satisfy the education requirement.
Experience providing customer service to diverse individuals and groups is preferred.
