• Provide research assistance virtually throughout the academic year 2022/23, by appointment, and through web-based interactive services.
• Guide students, faculty and staff in the effective use of library services and resources for their research online.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of library services, policies, and procedures through video-conferencing platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Possible opportunity to create online instructional tools.
• ALA-accredited or equivalent graduate degree if earned from outside the U.S. or Canada.
• Experience in providing reference services in an academic or large public library.
• Knowledge of traditional and electronic reference sources.
• Experience assisting others with library databases and online searching.
• Experience using Springshare LibApps products or an equivalent library web application.
• Strong service orientation; effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and students in a culturally diverse academic community.
• Ability to be flexible and to adapt to a changing work environment.
