Liaise with the Registered Manager/Clinical Lead, Residents, Nursing Staff and kitchen staff in the provision of the catering service.
Preparation, cooking and plating of special diets required for the Residents
Delivery of plated food and specially prepared food to staff for Residents consumption
Preparation and cooking of meals for staff and others.
Ensuring that working areas are kept tidy and in a clean and hygienic state, and that good hygienic practices are observed in all catering
To maintain a clean, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene at all times.
To report any equipment or structure defects, damage or repairs required to the Registered Manager/ clinical lead, or in her absence, the Nurse in charge.
To comply with all current Food Hygiene Legislation and requirements set by local authorities and other relevant bodies.
To attend Food Hygiene, Fire, Lifting & Handling and C.O.S.H.H training when required.
To attend any relevant training courses.

To provide high quality catering services meeting the needs and requirements of our Residents, and to manage the catering service for the Nursing Home within an agreed budget.
North Hill House has a small catering team so the successful candidate must be flexible and work as part of a team but have the ability to make independent decisions when needed, have good communication skills and a genuine interest in providing delicious and nutritious snacks and meals for up to 35 elderly residents.
