• As a Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of our client’s construction projects.
• Optimising the profitability and cash flow of projects, you will manage subcontractor selection including package procurement and order placing. You will ensure these processes are well documented and accessible for sign-off.
• Taking responsibility for project valuation processes, you will set up and undertake interim valuations that consider updated final accounts and maximise our client’s commercial position.

- Relevant experience in the construction sector and knowledge of the complexities involved

- To be the commercial lead for the project and be able to lead the team

- Proven record of dealing with several projects of varying value, type and complexity

- Familiarity with standard forms of measurement and of managing re-measurement

- An expert understanding of the relationship between cost and value

- The ability to review and challenge construction and pre-construction programmes

- Excellent risk mitigation strategies

- The ability to plan, maintain, control and report on the financial administration of projects

- Strong negotiation skills

- A relevant professional qualification
